Murray Low is a Lecturer in the Department of Music at Stanford University, specializing in Jazz Piano and Afro-Latin Jazz. With over 40 years of professional experience, he is renowned for his contributions to Latin Jazz, Salsa, and Afro-Cuban music. He has received four Grammy nominations and multiple accolades, including finalist recognition in the Latin Jazz Corner’s International Pianist of the Year.
Education: B.S., University of California, Berkeley. Performances include collaborations with artists like Arturo Sandoval, Tito Puente, and Poncho Sanchez, with over 100 recorded works. He has been a guest lecturer at Indiana University, University of Iowa, University of Wisconsin, UC Berkeley, San Francisco State University, and San José State University. Additionally, he served as Artist-In-Residence at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center’s education program.
