Murat Terzi is a Professor at the Department of Neurology, Faculty of Medicine, Ondokuz Mayıs University, where he has served since March 14, 2006. He holds multiple administrative roles, including Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences (since 2019), Head of the Neuroscience Department at the Graduate Institute (since 2016), and Vice Rector (since 2023). His academic journey began with medical education at Ondokuz Mayıs University in 1994, followed by neurology specialization in 2005 and a Ph.D. in Clinical Neurosciences in 2022.

His research focuses on multiple sclerosis, neuroimmunology, and the application of artificial intelligence in neuroscience and clinical neurology. His work spans neuroimaging, neurosystems, and immunology, reflecting interdisciplinary expertise.
Murat Terzi has held leadership positions in academic governance, including Head of the Neurology Department (since 2018), advisor to the Rector (2017–2020), and Chair of the Clinical Research Ethics Committee. He founded the Neuroimmunology Laboratory at Ondokuz Mayıs University in 2017 and serves as its director. Additionally, he is President of the Turkish Neurological Society (since 2023) and a member of several study groups, including the Turkish Multiple Sclerosis Study Group.
