Muni Zhou

Muni Zhou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at Dartmouth College, specializing in plasma physics and astrophysics. She holds a Ph.D. from MIT and B.Sc. from Zhejiang University. Her research explores plasma turbulence, cosmic magnetic field origins, and kinetic processes in space/astrophysical systems through analytical theories and large-scale simulations.

Research areas include: magnetogenesis in collisionless plasmas, kinetic turbulence in solar wind, and inverse energy transfer in magnetohydrodynamic systems. Her work integrates plasma microphysics with macroscopic astrophysical processes.

Awards include the NASA FINESST grant, Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship, and MIT Teaching Assistant Award. She supervises simulations using Frontera and NERSC resources and mentors graduate students.
