Muneeza Esani

Muneeza Esani is an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) School of Health Professions. She serves as Program Director for Undergraduate Programs and Associate Chair of CLS Education. Her research focuses on iron deficiency, eating disorders, and cardiovascular disease, while her teaching areas include biochemistry, clinical chemistry, epidemiology, and evidence-based laboratory medicine.

Dr. Esani is certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). Her academic career spans 14 years in CLS education at UTMB, where she helps shape undergraduate programs and curriculum development.
