Dr. Mumtaz Hussain is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at La Trobe University's Mathematical and Physical Sciences School, specializing in Diophantine Approximation, Dynamical Systems, and their interactions. He holds a PhD from the University of York (2011) and has held academic positions across institutions including Brandeis University, the University of Newcastle, and Aarhus University. His research has been recognized with awards like the SCEMS mid-career research award (2022) and an Australian Research Council Discovery Project (2020-2025).
