معرفی
Mukul Sharma is a Professor of Earth Sciences at Dartmouth College, specializing in isotopic tracing of geological processes. His research spans early Earth evolution, mantle heterogeneities, and environmental implications of hydraulic fracturing.
- Education: PhD and MS in Geochemistry from University of Rochester, MSc from Indian Institute of Technology, and BSc from University of Delhi.
Current research focuses on platinum group element behavior in natural waters, large igneous provinces, and innovative CO2 sequestration using clay minerals. His recent work examines solar wind isotopic signatures and abrupt climate change proxies in ice cores.
Scientific contributions include multiple high-impact publications on shale geochemistry, metal cycling, and biomineralization. He has mentored PhD students in interdisciplinary projects involving geochemical analysis of Marcellus Shale and climate change investigations.
- Major Awards: Guggenheim Fellowship (2020)
