Professor Mujib Rahman is the Head of Civil Engineering at Aston University's College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. He holds a PhD from the University of Nottingham and has over 20 years of academic and industrial experience. His research focuses on pavement engineering, asphalt materials, and infrastructure maintenance, with over 100 peer-reviewed publications. He serves on editorial boards for journals like ICE Transport and Advances in Materials Science.
Education: BSc (BUET, Bangladesh), MSc (City University London), PhD (University of Nottingham).
Research interests include non-destructive evaluation, concrete protection, sustainable materials, and pothole mitigation. His work has been featured in media like BBC, TechXplore, and New Civil Engineer.
Awards include the Highly Commended Award 2018 and ICE Merit Award 2012. He has supervised 7 PhD students and pioneered teaching modules in structural engineering and infrastructure management.
