Muhsin Celik is a Professor of Practice in the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Previously, he held leadership roles in semiconductor research and development at Motorola, Freescale Semiconductor, STMicroelectronics, and GlobalFoundries. He led the 14nm FINFET program at GlobalFoundries’ Fab 8 facility and contributed to advanced semiconductor technologies such as FDSOI and high-k/metal gate devices. Celik earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University (NCSU) with a thesis on in-situ surface cleaning for silicon selective epitaxy. He also holds an M.S. from NCSU and a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU).
