Muhammad Wahajuddin

Dr. Muhammad Wahajuddin is an Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmacy & Medical Sciences, Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Bradford. He is a registered pharmacist and patent agent with extensive experience in drug discovery, pharmacokinetics, and biopharmaceutics.

• Visiting Scientist at UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (USA) and University of Cologne Hospital (Germany)

Research Interests:
Dr. Wahajuddin focuses on the pharmacokinetics and biopharmaceutics of onco-therapies, marketed drugs, and natural products. His work includes studying molecular mechanisms of ADME (absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion) and drug disposition.

Teaching:
He teaches Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis, and other advanced topics in drug development.

Scientific Awards & Memberships:
He has received multiple awards, including the Shakuntala Amir Chand Prize and DBT-CREST Award. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology, Royal Society of Chemistry, and Higher Education Academy (UK).

Additional Roles:
Dr. Wahajuddin serves as co-lead of the Science Diplomacy in South Asia working group under the Global Young Academy (2020-2021). He also holds editorial roles in high-impact journals like Current Pharmaceutical Design and Frontiers in Nanotechnology.
