Muhammad Shafique

Dr. Muhammad Shafique is a Lecturer at Brunel University London, affiliated with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering within the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences. He joined Brunel in May 2022 after completing his PhD at the City University of Hong Kong and a postdoctoral fellowship there. His research focuses on life cycle assessment, circular economy, and sustainable design for civil and transportation systems.

He serves as Associate Editor for Frontiers in Energy Research and Frontiers in Sustainability, and holds editorial roles at four other journals. Dr. Shafique actively mentors PhD candidates and organizes international conferences on carbon capture and circular economy topics.
