معرفی
Muhammad Hyder Junejo is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Dermatology at Yale School of Medicine, affiliated with the Damsky Lab. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms of skin diseases, immune pathways in cutaneous disorders, and translational therapies for conditions like Kaposi sarcoma, psoriasis, and inflammatory skin conditions. He has contributed to studies on therapeutic targeting of viral oncogenesis, immune modulation using biologics, and patient-reported outcomes in reconstructive surgery.
His work integrates spatial transcriptomics, proteomic diagnostics, and clinical trials to advance understanding of granulomatous disorders, drug reactions, and oncology-related dermatoses. He has investigated novel laser therapies for cutaneous malignancies and evaluated the efficacy of JAK inhibitors in granuloma annulare. His research also addresses global health challenges, including neglected tropical diseases and disparities in HPV-related cancer screening.
Key contributions include validating the PROGRESS patient outcome measure for genital reconstructive surgery and advancing the use of Treponema pallidum PCR for syphilis diagnosis. His studies on immunocompromised patients, including HIV-positive organ transplant recipients, highlight efforts to reduce mucocutaneous disease burdens. Collaborations span translational oncology, dermatologic toxicities of cancer treatments, and cultural factors influencing skin cancer risk, such as saree-wearing associated SCC.
