Noel Turner, MD, MHS, FAAD is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Yale School of Medicine. His research focuses on melanoma, immunotherapy, and cutaneous oncology, with particular attention to immunohistochemical techniques and tumor immune microenvironment dynamics. He holds a Medical Degree and Master of Health Sciences from Yale School of Medicine (2019) and a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University (2015).
Dr. Turner's research interests span dermatological oncology, immunotherapeutic strategies for melanoma, and diagnostic challenges in skin pathology. His work includes studies on PRAME immunohistochemistry pitfalls, combinatorial CD40/PD-1 immunotherapy, and post-vaccination blistering disorders. He collaborates with prominent researchers such as Marcus Bosenberg (Yale Cancer Center) and William Damsky (Dermatology).
Key contributions include identifying PRAME biomarker limitations in melanocytic lesions and demonstrating dendritic cell activation mechanisms in overcoming PD-1 resistance. His clinical expertise bridges translational research with patient care, addressing both malignant and autoimmune skin conditions.
