Dr. Muhammad Farooque is a Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management at Essex Business School (EBS), University of Essex. He holds a PhD in Supply Chain Management from Auckland University of Technology (New Zealand) where he received the Graduate Assistantship Award. His research focuses on integrating circular economy principles into supply chain operations.
Research interests include:
- Circular supply chain management and sustainable operations
- Transparency mechanisms in global supply networks
- Application of enabling technologies (Blockchain, IoT, AI) in logistics
- Barrier analysis for sustainable systems implementation
His publications (2019-2023) predominantly analyze circular economy implementation in Chinese industrial contexts, employing methods like fuzzy DEMATEL and empirical case studies. Research consistently addresses performance metrics, barrier identification, and technology-enabled solutions for supply chain sustainability.
