Muhammad Afzal

Dr. Muhammad Afzal is an Assistant Professor of Prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine since November 2023. Previously, he held academic positions at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry (2022–2023) and King Saud University College of Dentistry (2014–2020). He has extensive clinical experience in maxillofacial prosthodontics and dental oncology, including roles at King Fahd Medical City and Dr. Suliman Al Habib Medical Center.

His research focuses on advanced prosthodontic techniques, geriatric dentistry, and implantology. He completed specialized fellowships at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (Dental Oncology, 2005) and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (Geriatric Medicine and Dentistry, 1997–1999). Fluent in English, Urdu, and Punjabi, he maintains clinical expertise in complex oral rehabilitation.
