Prof. dr. A. Visser is a Professor in Gerodontology at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Groningen, affiliated with the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG). She specializes in maxillofacial prosthodontics, geriatric dentistry, and dental implants. Her research focuses on oral health in aging populations, particularly linking oral health to neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and cancer care. She holds leadership roles in the oligodontia team and head and neck oncology at UMCG, and actively participates in national/international congresses and educational programs.
Education: Graduated from the University of Groningen (KUN) in 1996. Completed a doctoral thesis on implant-retained prostheses in 2009.
