Muddesar Iqbal is a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science and Informatics at the British University in Egypt, specializing in Smart Internet Technologies (SuITE). He is an academic entrepreneur integrating teaching, R&D, and enterprise activities to address social and business challenges through technological innovation.
- Education: PhD in Open Source Communication Networks from Kingston University (2010).
His research spans 5G/B5G/6G networks, Smart IoT, FPGAs, Blockchain, Collaborative Cognitive-Communication Systems, AI-enabled Recommendation Systems, and Chatbots. His recent work focuses on federated learning, edge computing sustainability, and secure communication in virtualized industrial networks.
He has secured international funding from Innovate UK, Horizon 2020, Erasmus, British Council, and HEC for R&D and capacity-building projects. Notably, his 2011 project on wireless mesh networks was showcased at Turkmenistan’s International Exhibition.
