معرفی
Moy McCrory is a Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Derby, affiliated with the College of Arts, Humanities and Education. Her research focuses on intersections of gender, narrative form, and cultural memory. Key themes include women's representation in literature, silence as a narrative device, and Irish diaspora identity.
Her work explores how women’s experiences are depicted in environmental and familial contexts, as seen in publications like Disturbing the Weather (2024) and Spiteful Spirits (2022). McCrory’s studies on silence in creative writing pedagogy and short story forms are central to her output, including the edited collection Strategies of Silence (2021).
Her research spans literary analysis of Holocaust narratives (Primo Levi as Storyteller, 2013) and Irish diaspora studies (I wouldn't start from here, 2019). She has contributed to both academic presses (Routledge, Palgrave Macmillan) and creative writing journals, demonstrating a commitment to bridging literary theory and practice.
