معرفی
Mosarof Hossain is a Research Fellow in the Department of Neuroscience at Monash University. His work focuses on developing biosensing technologies using 2D materials and FET sensors for point-of-care (POC) diagnostics, particularly targeting neurological disorders like Alzheimer’s disease. He has held positions including Research Officer at Alfred Health (Monash-Alfred program) and Research Assistant at Universiti Malaya.
Education:
- PhD in Materials Science and Engineering (Monash University, 2017–2022)
- MEngSc in Mechanical Engineering (University of Malaya, 2016)
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering (Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology, 2014)
Research Interests:
- Biosensors and POC diagnostics
- 2D materials (TMDCs) and nanotechnology
- Neurological disorder detection (e.g., dementia)
- Biomedical device fabrication
- Microfabrication and nanofabrication techniques
Article Trends: His publications emphasize innovative sensor designs using 2D materials (e.g., MoS₂, WSe₂) for toxin detection, cancer diagnostics, and medical imaging. Recent work explores X-ray detectors and graphene-based optofluidic devices for biomedical applications. Earlier studies focused on biodiesel lubrication and tribology.
Advising & Grants: Currently accepting PhD students. Collaborates with institutions like RMIT and Alfred Health. Research leverages facilities such as Melbourne Centre for Nanofabrication.
Labs/Teams: Involved in interdisciplinary teams focused on POC device development and nanotechnology-driven diagnostics. Active in material synthesis and biomedical engineering labs.
