Dr. Morwenna Bennallick is a Senior Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Westminster's School of Social Sciences. She joined the university in 2015 as a Visiting Lecturer and became a full-time lecturer in 2017. Her research focuses on imprisonment experiences, prison education, and penology, with a cultural perspective on learning in institutional settings. She holds a PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London (2019), an MSc from the University of Oxford (2013), and an LLB from Cardiff University (2010).

Her research interests include the role of education in prison settings and cross-disciplinary collaboration. She chairs the Prisoner Learning Academic Network (PLAN) and co-founded the Prison University Partnerships in Learning (PUPiL). She has led a NOMS-funded study on prison learning cultures and won the Royal Holloway Teaching Prize for Collaboration. She is affiliated with the Centre for Social Justice Research.
