Moritz Malischewski

Dr. Moritz Malischewski serves as a Junior Research Group Leader in the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Pharmacy, Free University of Berlin, where he leads the Malischewski Group focused on advancing inorganic and organometallic frontiers.

His research spans Inorganic Chemistry, Organometallic Chemistry, Coordination Chemistry, Superacid Chemistry, Crystallography, and Oxidation Chemistry, with emphasis on synthesizing novel metal complexes using perfluorinated ligands to access extreme oxidation states and stimuli-responsive behavior. Key investigations include superacid-mediated generation of reactive intermediates, structural characterization via X-ray diffraction, and exploration of photo/thermal switching in metallocene systems.
