معرفی
Morgan Ringel serves as Research Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering at Vanderbilt University's School of Engineering and is a core affiliate of the Vanderbilt Institute for Surgery and Engineering (VISE). They chair the VISE Seminar Series and sit on the VISE Steering Committee while leading the Biomedical Modeling Laboratory (BML).
Education:
- B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical & Computer Engineering, Duke University, 2018
Research Interests: Dr. Ringel pioneers dual-purpose platform technologies for surgical treatment and discovery, specializing in image guidance for breast cancer surgery. Their work integrates complex biophysical models, procedural field surveillance, and disease phenotypic biomarkers to advance precision medicine through real-time computation, automation, and cost-effective surgical solutions. Current projects emphasize data-driven procedures and therapy forecasting within surgical robotics frameworks.
Grants and Advising: Dr. Ringel directs an NIH-funded T32 training grant focused on clinical immersion for engineering trainees, which supports publications by lab members where Dr. Miga is not a co-author. The BML cultivates immersive training environments centered on clinical integration for surgical innovation.
Labs and Teams: The Biomedical Modeling Laboratory drives engineering for surgery and intervention through platform technology development, emphasizing procedural field surveillance and data integration. Lab culture prioritizes collaborative problem-solving with documented team-building activities.
