معرفی
Morgan J Grant is a Lecturer in the School of Physics at the University of Bristol and a Member of the Bristol Doctoral College. His research focuses on experimental condensed matter physics with emphasis on quantum phenomena in superconducting materials.
He completed his PhD in Physics in 2023 with a thesis on magnetic penetration depth studies of superconducting energy gaps in materials including LaFePO, CsV3Sb5, and UTe2. His academic background includes an MPhys degree, establishing foundational expertise in advanced physics.
Dr. Grant's research centers on superconductivity and magnetism, specializing in experimental techniques for measuring magnetic penetration depth and non-linear electromagnetic responses. His work investigates kagome lattice materials, Fermi surface properties, and quantum phase transitions within novel superconductors, contributing to fundamental understanding of quantum matter.
His publication record shows consistent focus on superconducting energy gap structures and unconventional superconductivity, with recent work on CsV3Sb5 revealing critical insights into gap symmetry. The research demonstrates methodological rigor in depth measurement techniques applied across multiple quantum material systems.
He actively contributes to the Condensed Matter Physics research group and the Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Quantum & Soft Matter, mentoring doctoral students through the Bristol Doctoral College framework while advancing experimental capabilities in quantum materials characterization.
