Dr. Morgan Hynes is an Associate Professor of Engineering Education at Purdue University's School of Engineering Education. He holds a Ph.D. and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University. His research focuses on broadening participation in engineering through humanistic contexts, Makerspaces, and K-12 curriculum design. He has been recognized with the NSF CAREER Award (2015) and Purdue's Scholarship of Engagement Fellowship.
Research emphasizes engineering design processes, teacher pedagogy, and inclusive classroom environments. Notable projects include NSF-funded work on contextualizing engineering education and studies on Makerspace impacts.
