Morgan Clapp is an Instructor in the Department of Communication Studies at Oglethorpe University. Their academic background includes a B.S. and M.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati, an M.A. in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (also from the University of Cincinnati), and a Ph.D. in progress in Communications, Media and Society from Georgia State University. Clapp’s research focuses on modern television representation of marginalized groups, particularly LGBTQ+ individuals and women, along with analyzing depictions of violence against and by women in media.
