Morgan Bates

Morgan Bates is a Researcher at the Materials Research Laboratory (MRL) at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her work focuses on polymer self-assembly and macromolecular synthesis, leveraging advanced chemical engineering principles to explore novel materials for nanotechnology applications.

Research Interests: Morgan specializes in block polymer materials and self-assembly, with expertise in polymerization-induced microphase separation, domain co-continuity for mechanically stiff electrolytes, tunable mesoporosity in crosslinked thermosets, and high χ materials using novel block chemistries. Her work also includes the assembly of Frank-Kasper phases and spherical morphologies in block polymer melts.
