Monish Aron

Dr. Monish Aron is Professor of Clinical Urology at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California, where he also serves as Vice Chair of Clinical Operations and Director of the Center for Outpatient Cancer Ablation. He is a specialist in robotic and laparoscopic surgery for malignant and benign conditions of the prostate, kidney, bladder, adrenal gland, and ureter.

Dr. Aron trained in urology at premier institutions in India, Australia, and the United States, completing his fellowship training in advanced robotics and laparoscopy at the Cleveland Clinic before joining USC in 2009.

His research interests focus on minimally invasive surgical techniques in urologic oncology, particularly robotic prostate and kidney surgery, single incision laparoscopic surgery, and robotic surgery for bladder cancer. Dr. Aron has made significant contributions to the refinement of robotic radical cystectomy with intracorporeal urinary diversion, salvage robotic radical prostatectomy, and techniques to prevent complications in complex urologic surgeries.

Analysis of Dr. Aron's recent publications (2022-2025) reveals a strong focus on improving outcomes in robotic cystectomy and prostatectomy, with particular attention to urinary diversion techniques, enhanced recovery protocols, and innovative approaches to prevent and manage surgical complications.
