Monique Yaari is a Professor of French Studies at The Pennsylvania State University's Department of French and Francophone Studies within the College of the Liberal Arts. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati in 1981. Her research focuses on 20th/21st-century literary and cultural studies, avant-garde theories, urban space analysis, and Eastern European Francophonie. Yaari has received grants from Fulbright, IREX, and the Camargo Foundation. Her work bridges literature, architecture, and visual arts, particularly in exploring spatial theory and transnational cultural exchanges.
