Dr. Monique Alicia Gamble is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC). She serves as Program Coordinator for Political Science (2024–Present) and specializes in qualitative/ethnographic research on Black feminism, queer visibility in media, and the intersection of culture and power. Her work examines identity, representation, and political behavior through courses like Black Feminism, LGBTQ Visibility in Media, and Presidential Politics.

Research Interests focus on Black sapphic and queer narratives in media, political culture of Black women, and civic engagement strategies. Her pending publications at The Ohio State University Press and The Journal of Africana Studies analyze LGBTQ representation in TV/film (1993–2023) and intersectional storytelling in mainstream media.
Leadership roles include Inclusive Organizational Culture and Strategy Consultant at MAG Strategies, LLC (2024–Present), Co-Chair of UDC's College of Arts and Sciences Teaching and Learning Roundtable (2023–24), and Ad Hoc Member of UDC's LGBTQ Advisory Board (2022–24). She has delivered keynotes and panels on digital humanities, civic engagement, and LGBTQIA+ voting rights at institutions like The White House Office of Public Engagement and National Forum for Black Public Administrators.
