Monika Schoop is an Associate Professor of Musicology at the Institute of Fine Arts, Music and Education, Leuphana University Lüneburg, Germany. Her work bridges Popular Music Studies with interdisciplinary themes like memory, politics, digital technologies, and gender. She currently leads the research project Musical and Sonic Remembrance in the Post-Witness Era, funded by the Ministry of Lower Saxony, and previously co-led Sounding Memories with Federico Spinetti (DFG-funded).
