Monika Pogátsnik serves as Director of the Engineering Institute and Vice Dean of Education at Óbuda University's Alba Regia Faculty. She holds dual academic roles as Senator in the University Senate and Voting Member of the Education Committee, while also managing the Dual Training Office.
Her educational background spans multiple disciplines: Certified Engineering Teacher (Budapest University of Technology and Economics, 2005), Economist (College of Foreign Trade, 1997), and Chemical Engineer (Budapest University of Technology, 1991). She earned her PhD in Educational Science in 2019 and obtained her habilitation (dr. habil.) in 2025 from the Doctoral School of Security Sciences.
Her research focuses on engineering education methodologies and technical teacher training within higher education systems. Current activities include directing the XXXV. Kandó Kálmán Summer University for engineering-interested students across the Carpathian Basin and organizing REG FEST_AMK registration events for freshmen.
Administrative leadership includes managing the Dual Training Office and coordinating major institutional events such as the IEEE International Symposium on Intelligent Systems, Hackathon 2025, and the Carpathian Basin Academic Year Opening Ceremony. She maintains Upper-level proficiency in English and German with Basic French.
