Monika Gesing serves as a Research Associate at the Institute of Educational Science within the Faculty of Philosophy and Education at Ruhr University Bochum. Since April 2025, she has contributed to the Qualify project under Prof. Sandra Aßmann, Prof. Henrike Terhart, and Dr. Catharina Keßler, focusing on developing a teaching and research platform for qualitative research skills acquisition.

Research Interests: Gesing specializes in non-formal and informal learning environments, investigating social spaces where learning occurs outside traditional educational settings. She has received recognition through the German Academic Scholarship Foundation Fellowship.
