Monica Llorente

Monica Llorente is a Senior Lecturer at the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where she has taught courses such as Business Associations, Judicial Practicum, and Clinic since 2003. She also served as an Adjunct at the law school and taught Legal Field Studies in the Weinberg College of Arts & Sciences from 2013 to 2019.

• Education: BA from Duke University, JD from Northwestern University

Her expertise spans Legal Education, Contract Law, Education Law, and Juvenile Justice, with a focus on equity in school discipline and public interest law. She co-founded the Dignity in Schools and the Transforming School Discipline Collaborative to reform policies in juvenile justice and education.

She was appointed to the Judicial Screening Committee by U.S. Senators and has received accolades such as the ABA Award for Outstanding Service.
