Monica Karlsson is a Professor and Head of Subject for English with a specialization in didactics at Luleå University of Technology. She holds a doctoral degree from Lund University (2001) and previously worked at Halmstad University for 20 years. Her research focuses on how university students learn English, particularly idiomatic expressions and vocabulary comprehension. She aims to bridge literary studies and linguistics in her new role and plans collaborative research projects for external funding.
