Monica Barsi is a Full Professor of Language and Translation – French Language at the University of Milan. She serves as President of the Teaching Board for Degree Courses in Foreign Languages and Literatures and European/Extra-European Languages and Literatures. She is a member of the Single Guarantee Committee (CUG) for equal opportunities, workplace well-being, and anti-discrimination. Her work focuses on linguistic inclusion, plurilingualism, and social sustainability, aligning with projects like the UN 2030 Agenda and EU-funded initiatives such as MUSA (Multilayered Urban Sustainability Action).
Education: Alumna of the European School of Brussels, holds a Degree and PhD in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the University of Milan. Recognized for innovative language training projects, she received the European Language Label in 2020.
Key projects include 'Linguistic Inclusion and Plurilingualism,' 'Right to Identity,' and contributions to the 'Glossary of Inclusion' for gender equality in work contexts. She actively participates in initiatives addressing migration integration, gender equality, and human rights through multilingual education frameworks.
