Monica Almeida

Monica Almeida is a Lecturer in the Department of Journalism & Public Relations at California State University, Long Beach, College of Liberal Arts. A seasoned independent photojournalist based in Los Angeles, she has over 30 years of experience with major newspapers like The New York Times, where she worked for 24 years, and the Los Angeles Times. Her work spans news, politics, entertainment, and features, with a focus on visual storytelling.
