Dr. Mona Jahangiri is a Lecturer at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (since 2020) in the Faculty of Philosophy, specifically within the Department of Philosophy of Science and Religious Studies. Her academic journey includes studying Philosophy at the University of Bonn, Neuroscience at the University of Cologne, and completing her PhD at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg (2021) with a monograph on Mullā Hādī Sabziwārī’s concept of the soul.

She currently pursues habilitation on neuroethical dilemmas of memory-dampening and personal identity from an Islamic perspective.
