Molly Saunders is a Research Associate at the Department of Policy and Governance, Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University (ANU). She is also a PhD Candidate at UNSW Sydney, researching gender inequity in disability support systems, focusing on women with disabilities' human rights under Australia's National Disability Insurance Scheme. She holds dual degrees: a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws (Hons 1) and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, both from ANU.
Her roles include Associate at UNSW's Australian Human Rights Institute, Steering Committee Member of UNSW's Women's Wellbeing Academy, and Postgraduate Portfolio Leader at the Australian Sociological Association (2025-2026). She co-lectures Policy Advocacy (POGO8083) at ANU and previously taught at UNSW's Centre for Social Impact. Her research interests span feminist theory, critical disability studies, and inclusive methodologies.
Recent work includes a 2025 article analyzing societal attitudes toward care work, reflecting her focus on policy intersections between gender, disability, and labour markets. She has prior experience in human rights advocacy and administrative law.
