Molly J. Walker Wilson is a Professor of Law and Associate Dean for Research and Engagement at Saint Louis University School of Law, holding a courtesy appointment as Professor of Psychology. She earned her B.A. in Psychology and English from Wesleyan University (1995), J.D. from University of Virginia School of Law (2004), and Ph.D. in Psychology (2004) with a focus on courtroom dynamics. Her research integrates social and cognitive psychology to analyze legal policy, risk perception, and information presentation strategies in legal contexts. She teaches courses such as Criminal Procedure, Family Law, and Psychology in the Courtroom.
Wilson’s awards include the Saint Louis University Faculty Excellence Award (2020-21), a Spark Grant (2022-23), and a Brandon Hall Group Gold Award (2019). Her work spans behavioral legal ethics, public health communication, and criminal justice reform, with over 20 publications in journals like Cardozo Law Review and American Journal of Criminal Law. She co-founded the Center for the Interdisciplinary Study of Law and serves on Saint Louis University’s Scholarship Research Council. Her research has been featured in media outlets including TIME Magazine and NPR.
