Afonso Seixas Nunes is an Assistant Professor at Saint Louis University's School of Law, where he teaches International Public Law, International Criminal Law, and International Humanitarian Law. He holds advanced degrees from institutions including the Portuguese Catholic University, London School of Economics, and University of Essex. His research focuses on International Humanitarian Law, new technologies in warfare (especially Autonomous Weapons Systems), and accountability frameworks for states and individuals. He serves as a visiting professor at the Portuguese Catholic University School of Law and has held postdoctoral fellowships at Oxford University's Blavatnik School of Government and Campion Hall.
