Molly E. Steed

Molly E. Steed is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy. She holds joint roles in clinical practice, teaching, and translational research, with a focus on antimicrobial stewardship and infectious diseases. Her clinical practice involves managing the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and rounding with Infectious Diseases physicians at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Research & Teaching: Dr. Steed’s work centers on optimizing antibiotic use and combating resistant pathogens. Her research includes in vitro pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic modeling of antibiotics like daptomycin, ceftaroline, and telavancin against MRSA and Enterococcus species. She teaches infectious diseases pharmacotherapy and precepts pharmacy students and residents in clinical settings.
