معرفی
Mojgan Rabiey is a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham's Birmingham Institute of Forest Research (BIFoR), specializing in microbiology and plant pathology. Her work investigates Pseudomonas syringae and phage therapy in forest ecosystems, with recent publications focusing on genomic clusters in pathogens and antibacterial properties of tree extracts.
Research Outputs (2024–2025):
- Elucidated sucrose-utilization gene clusters in P. syringae pv. aesculi affecting horse chestnut colonization.
- Analyzed unique isolation mechanisms of P. syringae in Peltigera lichens through metabolite profiling.
- Explored phage therapy impacts on plant microbiomes, emphasizing coevolution and microbial dynamics.
Active Project: Co-investigator in the Development of phage biopesticide to control bacterial diseases of trees (2023–2027), funded by the Society for Applied Microbiology. Also contributed to the whole genome sequence of Pseudomonas amygdali pv. aesculi strain 2250 (2023).
