Mohsen Shahandashti

Dr. Mohsen Shahandashti is a Professor of Civil Engineering and Associate Dean at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). His research focuses on enhancing infrastructure resilience through operations research and data analytics, with over 140 peer-reviewed publications. He leads projects sponsored by NSF, USDOT, and TxDOT, addressing disaster recovery, geotechnical asset management, and sustainable construction. Recognized as a UTA Distinguished Teaching Professor, he developed innovative courses and was awarded the 2020 President's Award for Excellence in Teaching. His academic journey includes degrees from Georgia Tech, CMU, and Nanyang Technological University. He serves on editorial boards for ASCE journals and holds professional engineering licenses in Texas.
