Mohammed A. Jabed is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on computational chemistry, nanomaterials, and organometallic complexes for photodynamic therapies, with specific interests in hot-carrier dynamics, machine learning modeling for catalysis, and biological activities of metal complexes.

At UDC, he serves on the Curriculum Committee and teaches General Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Allied Health Chemistry courses. Previously, he held a Visiting Assistant Professor position at Towson University.
