Mohammad Hasan Imam is a Research Fellow at Aalborg University Business School (AUBS), part of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. He is affiliated with the International Business Research Group and funded by the CREATE Project in Bangladesh (DANIDA). His research investigates circular economy transitions in Bangladesh's apparel industry, focusing on collaboration strategies between suppliers, multinational buyers, and institutional actors.
Education:
MSc in International Business Economics, Aalborg University (2017).
Research Focus:
His work examines how apparel suppliers reconfigure capabilities for circularity, emphasizing:
- Role of national/transnational institutions (policies, regulations)
- Competitive competency development via authority delegation
- Collaboration strategies with global brands and local actors
Key Publication:
An encyclopedia chapter (2025) analyzing circular fashion collaboration from a global perspective, highlighting institutional drivers and supply chain innovation.
Project Involvement:
Active member of the DANIDA-funded CREATE Project, facilitating circular economy adoption in Bangladesh's apparel sector through academic workshops and stakeholder engagement.
