Mohammad B Shadmand is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). He currently serves as Director of the Intelligent Power Electronics at Grid Edge (IPEG) Research Lab and has a history of academic and research roles at Kansas State University and Texas A&M University.
- Research Focus: Smart photovoltaic inverters, energy storage systems, grid cybersecurity analytics, deep learning for cyber-physical energy systems, autonomous model predictive control, and photovoltaic-intensive grid modeling.
