Mohamed Saad

Dr. Mohamed Saad serves as a Research Fellow at Lehigh University, leading the Health Data Warehouse (HDW) initiative for the College of Health and College of Business—a secure high-performance computing environment supporting health data science and AI-driven analytics.

His educational background includes:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science from City University of New York (2010), with doctoral research on data-driven optimization of caregiver schedules in understaffed critical care facilities.

Dr. Saad's research focuses on Health Informatics and Artificial Intelligence, particularly the Internet of Behaviors (IoB) where he applies AI methodologies to temporal health data for predictive modeling. His early work developed Anti-Abduction and Alzheimer’s patient tracking systems, while professional contributions span e-commerce AI (processing 4M+ weekly association records) and healthcare IT infrastructure for major Northeastern hospitals.

He has served as Lead Software Engineer on NIH-funded epidemiology modeling projects and engineered scalable enterprise systems that expanded Canadian e-commerce revenue from $4 million to $45 million within six years.

Dr. Saad directs Lehigh's Health Data Warehouse, enabling custom software development and advanced analytics for health researchers through its secure computing environment.
