Mohamed Erhayem

Mohamed Erhayem is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Sebha University, serving concurrently as Vice-President for Scientific Affairs. He holds a BSc from Sebha University, MSc degrees from Sirte University and the Florida Institute of Technology, and a PhD from the Florida Institute of Technology.

• Former roles include Head of International Co-operation Office and Dean of the Faculty of Science at Sebha University.
• Prior experience includes teaching at the University of Sirte, high school chemistry teaching in Misurata, and work as a chemist at Ras Lanuf Oil and Gas Processing Co.

Research focuses on analytical chemistry methodologies, nanoparticle applications, heavy metal analysis, and thermodynamic/kinetic modeling. Active in professional societies: American Chemical Society (ACS), Asia-Pacific Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society. Editorial board member of the Asian Food Science Journal.

Awarded multiple innovation prizes in Libya for academic contributions.
