Professor Mohamed Chelli is an Associate Professor at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. He holds a PhD in Business Administration (Accounting) from Université Laval (Canada) and Université Paris-Dauphine (France), along with M.Sc. and M.Phil. degrees in accounting. His research focuses on environmental and socio-environmental disclosure, climate change, water performance, human rights discourse, and sustainability ratings. He has published in journals such as the Journal of Business Ethics and Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal.

Research interests include case studies, longitudinal research, and qualitative methods applied to corporate environmental and social accountability. Funded research includes grants from SSHRC, the Telfer School, and the Africa Call for Accounting & Finance Research. Notable projects explore water accountability in Nigeria/Ghana and the cost of equity capital linked to corporate water performance.
