Mohamed A. El-Erian is a Senior Global Fellow at the Joseph H. Lauder Institute of Management & International Studies and a part-time Professor of Practice at the Wharton Management Department, The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He contributes to global economic and financial discourse through his roles as Chief Economic Adviser at Allianz, Senior Adviser at Gramercy, and incoming President of Queens’ College at the University of Cambridge (effective fall 2020).
His academic and professional journey includes leadership roles at the Harvard Management Company, International Monetary Fund, and PIMCO. He is a prolific author and commentator, known for coining the term 'New Normal' to describe post-2008 economic trends.
