Moa Sandström is affiliated with Umeå University's Faculty of Arts, previously part of the Centre for Sami Research (CeSam) before its closure in 2019. She holds a PhD in Sámi Studies (2020) and specializes in decolonization, artivism, and Indigenous rights. Her research examines how art and activism shape political and social change in Sápmi, particularly addressing colonialism and climate justice.
